OUR STORY

CREATING CONNECTIONS

We’re creating a world where investors can receive steady, reliable income AND have a direct social impact in underserved, rural South African communities.

During a prodigious number of years working within the investment and property industries, Ben envisioned an alternative investment fund that worked beyond the traditional margins of investment. He foresaw the potential to connect investors and communities to a future that would create prosperity for both.

As the starting piece to the ALTernate puzzle, Ben sought out the experience and expertise that Tumi and Chulu possess, both as individuals and within the business that they had established together. Fortuitously, Tumi and Chulu were seeking an opportunity to work towards the same vision. Together, the trio combine years of asset management, investment banking, and development expertise to create the unique team leading ALT Capital Partners.

Initially ALT Capital Partners was created with plans for several different sectors of property development. However, over time, the company evolved, and the decision taken to focus on convenience retail centres within rural and underdeveloped communities that have been left neglected by the local economy.

As the team has grown and the vision sharpened, ALT Capital Partners sought investment from Vukile Property Fund. With Vukile’s mastery within the convenience retail space proven over several decades within South Africa and Spain, ALT Capital Partners will bring

the cataclysmic change that it seeks to fruition.
