OUR PHILOSOPHY?
Based on research, Alt Capital has adopted language that is consistent with its investment approach. However, in so doing, there exits an opportunity to challenge an assumption inherent to the classification of ‘impact investment’ as a distinct approach. Because Impact is a universal principle for ALT, it implies that ALT is defying convention by driving it across all asset classes. This is ALT’s disruption at play.
ALT is disruptive to the status quo because:
- ALT challenges the assumption that Impact should be limited to a limited set of investment themes.
- ALT challenges the notion that an investment theme inherently implies impact by insisting on social performance verification. It is understood that impact verification is a nascent aspect of investments and ALT takes responsibility for being a steward and leader in this area.
